I already saw that, and I'm not sure, but it may be related to some terminal config, like $TERM. Please check value for $TERM, and look at FAQ for good values.
If you think it's a bug, it would be better to open a bug on savannah: https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?group=weechat
