0.2.6.2 does not contain the bitlbee ssl patch : http://weechat.flashtux.org/patchs/patch_ssl_server_0.2.6

Yes, only security problems are fixed in 0.2.6.x branch.
If you want many new features, and lot of bug fixes, you can try development version (branch 0.3.x), which is stable today.
